Introduction
Composite Regional Centre, Srinagar for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, J&K was established by the Ministry of Social Justice Empowerment, Government of India, in the Year June 2000, at Bemina, Bye-Pass, Srinagar aiming to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to the Persons with Disabilities and to develop manpower in the field of rehabilitation sciences. Since then this institution has developed sphere of its clinical, academic and outreach activities to large extent.
For establishment / construction of CRC building infrastructure, State Government has provided 05 acres of land (40 Kanals) near SKIMS Medical Collage & Hospital, Bemina, Bye-pass, Srinagar. The CRC has constructed its own building infrastructure which includes main CRC main building complex, Collage building, Administrative cum Store block, Canteen infrastructure etc. This institution has started functioning in its own building complex in the year 2003.
